GIFSpeed-0 changes the playback speed of an animated GIF without re-recording it. It reads every frame from your source file, keeps the original resolution and frame order, and re-encodes the file with a new per-frame delay so the animation plays faster or slower. Because it uses a high-fidelity palette engine (NeuQuant quality 1, no dithering) and a "restore to background" disposal method, output stays clean instead of ghosting or smearing on frames with transparency.
Anyone who needs to slow down a GIF to study motion frame-by-frame, or speed one up to fit a size/attention-span limit for chat apps, forums, or social posts — without touching a video editor.
Does this reduce GIF quality?
No transcoding compression is applied beyond GIF's native palette limits; the tool renders at maximum color fidelity by default.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding and re-encoding both happen in your browser using JavaScript; the GIF never leaves your device.
